Bleacher Report has the Rangers farm system ranked at #5.
It looks like 46 million fo to the cap for the next 10 years which softens the blow.Ohtani is not even charging them interest. The IRS should step in and make the Dodgers pay taxes on the free interest.
This may have more problems for MLB than meets the eye at the moment. At some point a cap must be established. The price to see a game can have negative effects. It looks like 46 million fo to the cap for the next 10 years which softens the blow.
But the buy now pay later philosophy is maddening
That is messed up. This should not be allowed. There needs to be a limit on deferred money. This will be someone else's problem in 2034.
This doesn't sound right.
It is gaming the system.Shohei Ohtani’s contract structure should have the MLBPA up in arms
We’ve known since he announced his decision on Saturday that Shohei Ohtani would be deferring at least part of his whopping 10-year, $700 milliondknetwork.draftkings.com
I hope so.In an article predicting where the remaining top free agents will sign, Jim Bowden predicts the Rangers will sign both Montgomery and Hader.
This is such nonsense. MLB needs to fix this. I can see this really creating some problems for MLB down the road.
It is gaming the system.
