Dodgers supposed to be all in on him too.If Roki Sasaki does become available, he would be quite the catch.

and i'd also sign Montgomery and GarverI'd sign Hicks and Matt Moore BTW.

his Japanese team has already said NO to posting himDodgers supposed to be all in on him too.
Now that we have won a championship it seems our goal for sometime will be higher than keeping up with the Astros. Will the Soto trade and the Ohtani signing force CY and ownership to change course and spend more? For example, do we push hard for both Hader and Yamamoto.
Will Smith has signed a 1-year deal with the Royals
i keep reading posts from some who keep spouting that. if it were true where is the proofFrom the lack of funds (I dont buy this story, there will be another tv deal in place for when the Bally one ends) talk, due to the Bally television deal falling throughout appears they may go the cheap route and go with internal options.Same BS Mark Cuban did after the Mavs NBA Championship......I hate that for the organization, the fans and the players, if that is the route it goes.
Andrew Chafin to the Tigers. Relievers are starting to go so hopefully Texas adds several starting with Hader and then 2 or 3 more through free agency or tradeProbably best....

times they are a changing i hope. CY is trying to make a good team better and we saw what internal attempts nearly ruined with our 2023 bullpenI honestly dont expect them to do much on the signing of any other relievers front just for the simple fact that adding Yates is more than they usually do. Usually those roles are filled internally too
in the article they also pointed out that:From MLB Traderumors:
Sasaki’s contract with the Marines “is thought to” have an escape clause that would allow the righty to leave for the majors at any time. Ohtani enacted such a clause in 2017, though Ohtani had played five seasons with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.
The Sponichi article didn’t give any mention about such a contractual opt-out, though the unusual timing of Sasaki’s request perhaps does indicate that he has some leverage to take this rather immediate plunge into the posting system.
Castillo/Harris wrote that the Dodgers, Padres, and Giants have all “intensely scouted” Sasaki in Japan, and at one point, the Dodgers thought that Sasaki would be available as early as this offseason.
It is rare, but if it is written in the contract it will be one of the rare examples.in the article they also pointed out that:
In the broader picture, it is quite rare for Japanese players to ask to be posted so early in their careers, as the 22-year-old Sasaki has only played three seasons in NPB. As per MLB’s posting rules, players must be at least 25 years and have at least six pro seasons under their belt in order to receive anything more than a minor league contract.
Maybe we can get him after the break lol
Great news
I hope we don't have another emergency-type situation.Maybe we can get him after the break lol
