for all the heroics Conks had in the game, he was .... let's say "statuesque" in the shootout.
he was something like 1W -7 L in shootouts for St Lou this year, too.

Canada - Norway just started...Canada killed off an early 5-on-3 and 210 just rang one off the post.

No score about halfway through the 1st period.

Giggles (Spezza) opens up the scoring after some great work by Nash battling in front of the net.

1-0 good guys.

He hasn't been all that noticeable today, but the same can be said for most of the Canadian team. Hard to get up for Norway after a big emotional game against the States yesterday.

Holy cats, what a great goal by Tavares (Nash like against Finland a few years ago). Great speed and strength.

2-0 :canada:

Was glad to see him get an A Zajac usually isn't noticeable doesn't play the flashy game but as far as work ethic the guy isn't afraid of going to the corners and getting dirty. And defensively he is always there on the backcheck and very responsible

Zajac just showed plenty of jump on that last rush, as you said, very good defensively and a great skater.

I know I may be a day late here, but BOO-URNS.

Also, Spezza has a deadly shot - he needs to use it more (kind of like Getzlaf in that respect)

I hear there is a Forsberg on Norge's roster, so by principle, that mean go Canada.

How seriously do people think the USA takes this tournament? Looking at the roster their are several omissions at forward. Yesterday Derek Stepan was their best player besides Conklin. Nothing against Stepan. He's got a very bright future with the Rangers. I know some players are coming back from injury like Parise & others may want some time off like Kane, but that roster could use a sniper or two.

Canada survives a scare from Norway and wins 3-2. Next up, Sweden.

Dash I haven't been able to follow it are any Sabres in the tourney?

I haven't followed the other teams as much, but Gragnani is playing for Canada. He's played fairly well when I've been watching too.

Good, I like the kid and think he is going to be a descent player now that he has been given the chance. Thanks Kenny.

Boss, I haven't been following it all that closely, I think puck would be the best guy to provide scouting reports.
