boy was I offbase with this one.... Russia seemed to care more about beating Canada than getting to the gold medal. (which doesn't give enough credit to Finland... they are skating well)

3-0 finland, 10 min left.
... russia has 4 min powerplay . last gasp

sets up Sweden-Finland for gold, which is ALWAYS an awesome game.

I guess the chances are good that Granlund will be in Minnesota next year.

Listen up Chuck - trade the kid right now - his stock will never be higher. I'm sure you can deal him and Brent Burns in a package and get a nice return. Wait until the trade deadline and risk getting little to nothing in return...

(Nice goal, pretty decent celebration as well)

I love the goalie staring at Granlund after that goal (practically shooting lasers at him with his eyes).

Congrats Finland. 6-1 over Sweden, but it was a very tight game for most of it.
Sweden scored first, and it was 1-1 going into the 3rd. Wheels just fell off.

Fasth was on a fasth-track to the NHL with the way his tournament was going..... this is a pretty awful way to end it.
Marco Immonen (Fin) may get some looks, too.

Congrats Helsinki, you get to host the tourney next year as reigning champs.

Interesting the Russia pretty much ONLY got up for the game to knock out Canada.
they were average before it, and piss-poor after it.
sidenote: OV ended up pointless in 6 games.

fun tourney.

43-1-4 that was Finland's record against Russia going into the semi-finals. I imagine their record against Sweden is a little better, but this had to be completely unexpected.

Congrats to Finland on winning the GOLD!!
