Maybe . Depends on who they'd lose to . Iowa definitely has better competition on the remaining schedule with Wisky , Penn St , Michigan and ( if they make a B10 title game ) likely Ohio St. They'd all but certainly jump Oregon by winning 2 of the first 3 and heating OSU. Iowa St will likely be a top 25 win by year end as well so a lot of it comes down to how Auburn does . If Auburn were to win out and Oregon wins out you could be right . Otherwise I doubt it. Not enough on the Ducks remaining scheduleIowa has a lower chance than Oregon.

A one loss Iowa is getting in over a one loss Oregon, if both are conference champs.

I agree that Oregon has the advantage. Look at the rankings. 1-loss Oregon is right next to undefeated Iowa. I don't think the Committee will see it differently if both keep winning and Iowa loses one.
In each of the last 4 CFP's we had at least one new team make the playoff every season.
Is this a trend that will continue or end this season?
Wisky and Iowa both have a good shot even with 1 loss if they win the B10
Me too.If I had to put money on one of them it would be Wisconsin.
That's gonna end down on the Brazos this Saturday.Just want to remind everyone that Baylor is currently undefeated...

Sure. I get that . I was just saying IF both lose only 1 and both won their leagues it'd be Iowa . But we aren't going to so it won't matterIt's more about the remaining land mines on Iowa's schedule. Oregon is favored in every game the rest of the way.
If J Taylor and Coan stay healthy, Wisconsin will be the CFP Cinderella.
Ohio State gonna take their glass slipper and stab them with it
