Crabtree currently has 66 Receptions for 761 Yards.

Do you guys think he is going to hit the big 1,000? It has been a long time since SF has had a WR go for 1,000 yards (T.O.?), but I think he will do it.

Never thought Crabs would have a better chance at 1,000 than VD, but who cares as long as the team stacks Ws? :whoo:

It seems doable... Crabtree needs to average about 80 yds per game in the next 3 games to hit 1000 yds...

It seems very possible with the Patriots having the 29th ranked secondary, Seattle should be without their two starting CBs (at least one confirmed suspended), and he always seems to have a big day against Arizona.

I think it would require a little extra effort to get him the ball though, and that might not happen with everyone wondering why the 49ers aren't doing more to get VD involved.

Looking at this from a defensive perspective, New England is his best chance for the big game he will need to accomplish this. Both Seattle and & Arizona are top five pass defending teams. But can/will they play like top-five pass defending teams considering the suspensions and having no reason to win?

Will Arizona lay down for us the way they laid down for Seattle? Will the loss of their two CB's open a window of opportunity in Seattle? I think both the opportunities and possibilities exist but will/can we take advantage of them - we'll see.

I'd give him a 50/50 chance but I will predict he ends up with 960-980

unlikey IMO... not only he's not targetted enough for big gains(most of his yards are YAC too) but the running game will take away looks for him...

I doubt it... falls short

He's averaging 58.5 yards per game and is on pace for 936 yards... don't be so sure he won't make 1,000.

I'm not sure at all. You asked if I thought he would. I think he'll have about 945-965.

think Crabtree will make it. he is doing well with RAC's and he's bound to break 2-3 for even longer gains.

just keep looking it in and securing the ball same as you're doing now. don't start to get too impatient and take your eyes off the ball.

Great advice - You should tweet this to Crabtree or perhaps you can just tell this to Harbaugh in your weekly "offensive strategy" meeting with him. Let them know we are all pulling for them and that they should read SportsHoopla!

I think he has a very good chance. He's going to hit at least 950.

I hope he can but doesn't need to against the Pats. I don't want garbage time yards, but domination would be cool and surprising. I think we all hope he does, not sure if he will, and it does matter how he gets it, in the long and short run wins > stats.

Toby says no to anything that has to do with the 49ers doing good.

But that being said I have to agree with him. Don't see it happening but would be pretty awesome if he did

After tonight's game I think Crabtree has a much better chance at hitting 1,000 yards this season but He may come up short.

This is certainly Crabtree's best season yet:

73 catches (career high), 867 yards (career best is 874), 7 TDs (career best)

It will be tough but certainly not impossible for him to reach 1,000 yards as he is 133 yards away with only two games left.

The Seahawks will be an interesting match up, especially if it becomes a high scoring game.

The higher the combined score in week 16, the more I think Crabtree has 1,000 in the bag. No other Niners WR is going to have 100 yards receiving, and VD should be renamed "Herpes" the way he disappears for random stretches.

It's a crime, the way this team has failed to use VD. I just can't believe it.
