When you really break these teams down...it's tough to have confidence in any of them...but, let's look anyway.

DAL...Weeden is going to start probably 8 games...do we think he can go .500? Is the DEF strong enough to carry the team?...idk the answer to either question.

NYG...I think they will make another run like they always seem to after a bad start, but if they don't get Cruz back to complement Jr...they're not going anywhere...the Dline is not even close to what it once was.

WAS...imo Cousins is a decent back up in this league...surrounding cast may not be strong enough to life him to 9 or 10 wins.

PHI...they have their trigger man (healthy thru 2 games now), replacing a lot of key players...but a lot of talent still on the squad...even after going 0-2...today, they still look the most promising.

That isn't clear to me, but one thing is: Eagles offensive line needs to get quite a bit better than it's been in six of eight quarters in order for them to stand a chance of winning the division.

Yup, sad. That really explains it. Im tore up about calling out an insanely stupid comment, one in which I was called stupid for not knowing. So I keep it with me so I never again forget that "EVERYONE knows central and South America overlap." Won't make that mistake again!

I'm leaning towards the Giants. If not for their own stupidity they'd be 2-0. I think their mistakes are correctable and they can get themselves to 9-7, which should win the division.

The Giants could be/should be 2 and 0. They will get it together.

They are currently 3 up on Philly and NY.

Defense is only going to get better once Hardy and McLain come back.

Lee seems to be healthy and playing well.

Williams is going to come of age. Witten is still a stud. Escobar is coming along nicely.

The 3 RBs aren't exactly chopped liver and are producing, huge catch by Dunbar.

If Weeden can KISS and not hurt the team they should be fine.

Well nothing is clear...I assume that's what makes this a topic...the Eagles were supposed to have a strong OL...Peters is arguably top 3 @ LT...they got rid of a top tier LG...C & RT are high graded players according to PFF...the OL may not be playing well, but that was not supposed to be a problem.

The only reason I pick PHI is because their key players are healthy for the most part whereas you can't say that about DAL and NYG, and WAS may not have enough.

idk about should be 2-0...even after the strip/sack...ATL went 91 yds and 70 yds respectively for those last 2 scores. And their other 4Q possession in between those scoring drives they drove from their own 2 to midfield...flipping the field position and on top of that...after the strip sack...NYG had 3 more possessions so the point here is, the game didn't hinge on that turnover alone.

Yeah...I agree if you have a strong DEF and can run the ball...you should be able to close out the game. Absent of that...it depends on how much time is left...up 2 possessions with 14 mins to go...you're in command but not really assured of anything...up 2 possessions with 5 mins to go...you should win that game 95% of the time.

Maybe you saw it, but if you didn't see the game you might think it turned on the strip sack, but watching the game you realize that the Giants still had the lead and ample opportunities to close it out...they didn't finish the game.

Just saw bits and pieces from the Red Zone of the NFL network.
By the way, your Steelers' offense looks stronger than new rope. What the hell kind of fountain of youth stuff did you give D'angelo? When he did play last year he was going down on the first hit. The dude has been reborn.

What's funny is that with a little focus and a few things corrected...Eagles are the healthiest and most complete team in the East. Their issue is scheme and execution.

If Romo can get back by game 10, this changes nothing. They're just that much better than the rest of the division.

If Phillies OLINE is really as bad as it looked they are not winning the East, in fact they are a candidate for the Cellar.

Wow the Cowboys are still favorites on here. Wonder if this vote has bias. Granted, every other team looks pretty dreadful. Hopefully the Cowboys D steps up. Who knows, maybe Weeden will be OK if he can lean on the running game.

What do any of you think about the idea of adding Orton if he was interested. Rumor has it he isn't.
