I have no idea. I'm worried about WI not being anything like people think. I think they have a huge question mark at quarterback, even with a known like Stave, because he's just not that good and he didn't get any better from one year to the next. Is this other guy any better? Bring a different dynamic? I guess I'll find out with everyone else.

But I'm more worried about the defense. Their defense was tough last year. And they lost a lot to graduation and the draft last year. Losing Borland alone leaves a huge hole in that defense.

Like I said before, I like Anderson as the coach. He seems to get the most out of his kids, so I'm confident he'll have them as ready to play as they can be.

Can this be right? LSU DT's only 290 lbs.? If so the LB's better be ready to make a lot of tackles against Wisky. I never pick against LSU to open the season but this makes me wonder. They are giving up at least 30 lbs. per man to the Wisky O-line.

LSU's DT's, DE's, and LB's are always smaller and fast. That's the way Chavis likes them.

This is a really intriguing game. I think it's strength vs strength. And weakness vs weakness. LSU's defense has talent and experience just like the Wisconsin offense does. I think LSU will be able to continually put 7 and 8 in the box because Wisconsin loses their best WR and TE. Will that help slow down Gordon? I think it will. As for the other side of the ball, will Wisconsin have the athletes to control LSU's talented but inexperienced skill position players. It's really unknown vs unknown when those 2 sides go up against each other. IMO I think the LSU offense will win the battle against the Wisconsin defense, thus I think LSU will win the game. The other side of the ball will, for or better or worse, cancel each other out with no sizable advantage in determine the outcome.

Neither team has a lot back on D, neither team is starting a proven QB, both teams are replacing a lot. To me this game is tough to call because so much is unknown. In those instances you need to look at the units that each team has that ARE proven and decide who is better there. When you break it down like that I think you have to favor aWisconsin. Actually I think by quite a bit, The ONLY really proven QB on either team is now the backup QB for the Badgers, that tells me that the new starter has to be special and the Badgers have the superior RB and OL as well. Ill say Wisky 34 LSU 17.

LSU's big weakness on D is up the middle. DT's are young and our MLB does not impress.

LSU's O is a complete question mark this year with the exception of RB Terrance Magee.

High profile OOC games seem to be Les Miles strong suit. He should win this one big, its his SEC games he seems to get too conservative on and muck up.

my perception anyway.

I have to disagree there. Stave had to deal with an injury and another new OC/QB coach between his RS FR and RS SO year. He was vastly improved last season, especially at making pre snap reads. People often don't realize the QB also makes changes that affect the running game, and he did a great job there.

A lot of emphasis is being put on losing Abbrederis and Pedersen, who were both really good. IMO both units will be better this season, but may not have the big name star player like Abby. The question will be whether or not McEvoy can get them the ball if he's the guy.
