Well I guess you would have to say Nick Foles. He leads the league in fewest air yards per attempt at 2.47. I would say this is why what Tyrod Taylor is doing is pretty impressive. He leads the league in completion percentage while being 4th in most air yards per attempt. That usually is not the case.

Actually, they do it it to move the chains. Short passes tend to be high % plays and the best QB's want ball security to go along with 1st downs.
