I went with the Hawks...How could you not when they're 25-2 in their last 27 games?

And it is not like they've been playing shitty teams. In those 25 wins they bat the following teams:

New Orleans
Chicago
Cleveland 2x
Clippers 2x
Houston
Dallas
Milwaukee
Portland
Memphis
Detroit
Washington
Toronto

I don't know which team is the best, but I think your list probably consists of the top four candidates at the moment. San Antonio, OKC, and Cleveland could all make a push, though. Maybe even some other teams. The league seems more wide opened than I remember in the past several seasons.

who is the most talented? who is currently playing the best? who do you think will win a title? who will finish with the best record?

who is the best team is a very vague question....

if you go by who has played the best this year I would have to say Golden State as I think most people would

if you by who is most likely to win the championship its hard to pick against the Spurs- who really dont expend their full effort in the regular season

if you go by who is currently playing the best basketball it just might be the Atlanta Hawks

if you go by who has the most talent I think a host of teams have arguments like GSW, CHI, CLEV, OKC, SAS

as is the case with the NBA historically-the team with the best player wins the championship most of the time....and I think LeBron has proven over the last 3 games since he rested that he is still the most complete player in the NBA....

There's a difference between hottest and best imo. I'm still going with GSW as the best right now.

To be honest I need to make a point of watching the hawks, I have seen very little of them outside of highlights so my vote, admittedly, is not the most informed.

I think they're past the point of being hot. When you play like this for 2 straight months it has nothing to do with being hot. Being hot is winning 8 of 10.....not 26 of 28 in the last 2 months

Yeah, that's a great point. It's probably not fair for me to characterize them that way.

Like I said, I need to watch them cause right now I'm having a hard time fully trusting them as an elite team... but that has more to do with my ignorance than anything.

I'm judging that roster from what I've seen in past seasons... and something is clearly different this season.
