The Lakers or the Warriors?

Pretty easy if you ask me. The Warriors cannot win on the road and the Lakers been balling since the trade deadline. One of the best teams on defense since adding players at the deadline. This team has similarities to the Bubble title Laker tream.

Vote and discuss.

Come at me!!!!

The Warriors won last season. They are more capable of beating the other top teams.

However, they also appear headed toward a first round matchup with the Suns, who are IMO the best bet to win the West.

So the real answer is whichever team avoids Phoenix in the first round.

Actually that's not true (part about dubs heading towards a suns 1st round match). Whatever team win the battle of LA got the inside track on the 5 seed

Any of those 3 teams could easily get the 5 seed.

So…

Whichever avoids it and gets 6 is likely to make the most noise in the playoffs.

Neither. If GS plays PHX that won’t be ideal.

I went Lakers. Warriors have that championship pedigree and if anyone can flip a light switch and turn it on, it’s them. Their season long road struggles though leave me skittish. Additionally, if the Lakers started the season with this group, they’re a top 2-3 seed in the West. I would say the one seed but with AD and LeBron missing various time due to injury I think they likely settle into that Grizz or Kings slot. I think Lakers are built for the playoffs.

That being said, my pick for the West isn’t a choice here…Suns take down the West in my opinion.

Warriors need a miracle to get 5

A miracle?

You don’t think that is a tad dramatic?

They have 2 games left against the Kings and and the tanking Blazers.

Now, they might not want to win both those games, but if they do?

They need whoever wins the battle of LA to lose 1 more game.

And both teams play the Suns, who may or may not be resting guys.

You are exaggerating horribly.

Yes they have all year.

But do you honestly believe it would take a miracle to beat the Kings who probably have nothing to play for by then?

Cmon man.

Like I said, they may not want to win that. But if they do, it is very possible if not likely.

Warriors won 2 games this year on the road vs winning teams. Why should i expect that to change now? Highly unlikely they beat the kings. Clippers not losing to portland and phoenix on the final day

Lets bet on it since you seem confident they finish 5th

I have no interest in betting.

I don’t even know that they want to finish 5th. 6th seed is the best spot to be.

But saying it would take a miracle is pretty ridiculous.

So…

Because I said it is a huge exaggeration to say GS needs a “miracle” to finish in the spot they currently hold in the standings?

You think that implies that I want to bet?

Nah.

I think right now as it stands the Lakers are definitely the more dangerous team.

The Warriors have potential, but it's just that. They have to re-integrate Andrew Wiggins back with the team and also have him get back into form. That's going to be tough to do with just two games left. I will say that the Warriors defense will be immensely better with him on the court, which is the way teams win on the road.

But the Lakers defense is already there. That's why I give them the edge.

Warriors need a miracle to get 5

So…

I am not betting on this because I don’t have any way of knowing what individual teams are trying to manipulate their own seeding.

However, I just looked this up on a betting site that was updated yesterday prior to the games being played.

They listed the Warriors at 39.5% to get the 5 seed and 30.7% to get 6 with small odds to hit 7 and 8.

The Clippers were 29.6% to get 5

The Lakers were 12.7% to get 5

So not a miracle for sure.

Yes I understand.

And if you think they are incapable of winning 1 road game that they need…

Whether a regular season or playoff game with their pedigree?

Then you are out of your mind.

The question I have is whether or not they believe they need it.

Yeah where they get into trouble is if they need 2 road wins in a series
