Such a frustrating series. Held the lead going into the 8th in two of the three losses. Last night couldnt hit for shit.

Well that sucked. The Sox started the season 1-3 last year too. I also think the Angels are better than most people think. However - No sign yet that the Sox can play D - no sign yet of having a league top bullpen and no sign yet that the Sox can hit their way out of a paper box.

Our hitting has been lackluster to say the least, but at this point the biggest disappointment without question has been our bullpen. It's supposed to be the team's strength. I still think it is, but so far the pen overall has way underperformed to expectations.

I was texting last night with my little brother who was drafted by the Yankees. Both Brain Buttersworth (the Angels 3rd base coach) and Yasmin Merecedes sr. were his teammates back in the day. Buttersworth's dad actually drafted my Bro out of college. My brother was a pitcher - and he suspected his catcher Merecedes was tipping opposing batters from the DR off to his pitches. LOL.

Brian Buttersworth and Don Mattingly were his roommates in A ball in upstate NY.
