Mingo is dead off about Bummer being to blame though. You error into Mike Trout and you get what you deserve. Bummer did his job. Trout digging out that pitch basically on top of his kneecap was insane. Madrigal gave him that opportunity...not Bummer.

no, i still believe in this team. but certain kinds of losses get to me. last night was one of those. hopefully not too many of those.

Yermin Mercedes goes 5 for 5 in his 1st White Sox start - a new White Sox team record - topping Art Shires in 1928 and the great Ping Bodie in 1911 who had 4 hits in their first Sox start. Congrats to a good guy - and maybe a key player for this season.

Somehow - I was surprised to find out - your save opportunity is based on the score when you enter the game - not the run differential when the game ends.

The White Sox defense has made as many errors in the first two games this weekend - than they did for 30 days last season. Button it up!

Eaton who has contributed at the plate so far - totally misplayed a getable line drive last night that could have cost the game. Moncada and Abreu were also caught napping. Nothing screws with the pitcher's mind more than having defenders misplay batted balls.

so, i went to bed after watching them blow a 7-1 lead. glad they came back but wow, their defense looks really bad. hopefully just a hiccup. keuchel was disappointing as hell. hope it's not the beginning of his just getting to old to be good anymore. i am really hoping (lots of hopes here, i know) cease and rodon fulfill their potentials this year cause i think we gonna need that.

Excellent question. I thought the same thing and have not yet heard why they gave the W to Kopech.

This might be the reason, but not 100% sure.

It's not like Foster was ineffective, but Koepech was definitely the most "effective" reliever.
