watch the games. it's easy to blame the QB when the WR's aren't or can't get clear of the DB'sTake a look at Jarvis Landry’s numbers since he went from Tannehill to Mayfield.
It’s not the receivers…

Oh he definitely loves him some Tannehill as well, plenty of posts over the years to indicate as suchHe just hates Baker for whatever reason.
His catch % is 9 points lower in Cleveland than it was in Miami. You mean just about the best catch rate of his career last year?
He was beating that this year until his pitiful 4th quarter last week

He is a lot better at throwing people a football. And at running with a football. He is a better QB.Oh he definitely loves him some Tannehill as well, plenty of posts over the years to indicate as such
it's always easy to blame the QB to some peopleIt’s easy to blame the QB when the QB is not very good.
When the QB is not good it sure is.it's always easy to blame the QB to some people
when the receivers can't get open it's easy for you to blameWhen the QB is not good it sure is.
His catch % is 9 points lower in Cleveland than it was in Miami.
That’s not because of him.
Excuses for mediocre at best QBs seem to come rather easy.when the receivers can't get open it's easy for you to blame
9% lower catch percentage since changing teams for Landry. For whatever reason you are possibly the biggest detractor of baker on here.
Jarvis's first year he was the 1 with a rookie qb. Jarvis is not a number 1 receiver. Within stefanski's offense you don't necessarily need a true 1. And as I pointed out he thrived in his opportunities and had a 71 percent catch rate. No one else on the team except Beckham is having this issue.
I feel supremely confident this will show to be the case in whatever Beckhams next stop is as well.
not make excuses for anyone. but OBJ was targeted between 50-60 times and only caught less than half of themExcuses for mediocre at best QBs seem to come rather easy.
He isn’t catching 3 yard stop routes or 5 yard slants. His yards per reception went up dramatically. Makes a huge difference.9% lower catch percentage since changing teams for Landry.
Beckham has only went down 8% though.
Austin Hooper is down 12%.
These aren’t on account of coincidence.
You’re pretending guys aren’t open.not make excuses for anyone. but OBJ was targeted between 50-60 times and only caught less than half of them
His yards per target has went up .6. From 7.1 to 7.7.He isn’t catching 3 yard stop routes or 5 yard slants. His yards per reception went up dramatically. Makes a huge difference.
Also, another factor not mentioned is OBJ’s route running. They watched film on OBJ in New York and worked with him to improve his route running. I was a major thing they were trying to help him wigh, he seemed to be getting better but he went back to his old ways, free lancing. One wrong cut or one mis-step can lead to chemistry issues and there is film to back it up. Even when the Giants were playing well with OBJ it was bc of the defense, they were extremely strong.
