And by your standards Cooper isn't very good this season either @jarntt
That's a bad coparison. Here is what i posted about OBJ

74 catches on 133 targets (56%)
4 TDs
1,035 yards; 64/game

Coopers pace extrapolated over 16 games (ignoring the fact that he has been playing with a cracked rib!!!)
87 catches on 128 targets (36/56 = 64%)
11 TDs
1,131 yards; 71/game

You think those are the same?

A lot depends on how good the QB is.

Randy Miss went from the Raiders to the Pat's. Was his production the same?

I could see him going to the Chiefs... Chiefs dropping J. Gordon to make space for OBJ.... With Ruggs out, I could also see him going to the Raiders...

Chiefs need a reliable chain mover. Better fit on the Raiders, tbh.

Agree on the QB being a big part of it, but that isn't the issue here. Baker isn't great, but neither is 2021 OBJ

I just dont understand why the Browns would release him at this point and allow him to go to a contender. No team is going to sign him for anything more than the vet min at this point. So that is the amount of $'s they will save once they release him and work out the offset language. Not worth it IMO to allow him to possibly go to a team that is competing with the Browns for a playoff spot.

If the situation is so bad that they cant bring him back, just tell him to stay at home and collect his paycheck for the rest of the year and that they will cut him in the offseason.

I believe they will lower his salary to the vet minimum, and change the rest to a bonus that will help their cap, as well as anyone who would rather claim him, rather than risk not getting him after waivers.

Personally, I would fine him/suspend him for conduct detrimental and then after that, just let him sit at home for $4M since half of his salary would be garnished with the suspension.

But, sometimes, it's just better for the team/organization to move on and break with malcontent players. It would be nice to see, in some way, a rule that would prevent an obvious situation as this where a player is tanking to get cut so they can move on, or be traded. Never happen, though.

OBJ's a jackass.

-had an issue with the Giants coaching staff & demanded a trade (not his fault!)

-illegally passed out money to LSU players on the field after the national title game and gets barred from all LSU related stuff for two years (not his fault!)

-get to Cleveland but is never healthy (not his fault!), doesn't practice much (not his fault!) and has his daddy run to social media to defend him

Wonder if OBJ thinks the Earth is flat?

I've read that Andy Dalton and OBJ could both end up in New Orleans!

Yep and they tried trading him I heard from sources. The best for this organization that seems to be moving on the right path and building their team the right way is to just part ways. I am fine with that, no reason to prolong this and him whining on twitter about sitting at home. No backlash, just move on. They tried to make it work and it was a failed move...shit happens.

I don't think he requested a trade from the Giants. He had just got a new contract a few months before hand. IIRC, he was actually pretty upset about being traded.

Really? Damn, thought he demanded a trade after he had an issue with the coaching staff. Now that you mention it I remember he felt disrespected after that trade.
