Team friendly contract right?
Of course. Everybody wants to be a Laker and everybody eventually is. Sometimes they have to give up a little money for the privilege.

He needs to get sent to the Spurs to work with the best shooting coach of all timeSimmons doesn't need a mentor. He needs a guy with enough cache to put his foot in Ben's ass and say " nah homeboy you're not going out. You're going to the gym to work on your game or your ass will be buried on the bench "
Unfortunately for Ben there aren't many guys like that in the league
Actually that’s Jimmy Butler and Jimmy already showed the world his opinion on Ben when he bolted for Miami. He needs to get sent to the Spurs to work with the best shooting coach of all time

Edit: referring to the comment that Ben needs somebody who can put a foot up his ass.
Over/under 1.5 seasons before Embiid becomes a Laker?
I can't believe Faried fell off as much as he did....Agree. As an example, because the Lakers pick is #22 Lake Show Life on Fansided had an article listing the 5 best #22 picks in NBA history. Here is who they came up with:
5. Kenneth Faried
4. Jared Dudley
3. Mason Plumlee
2. Norm Nixon
1. Truck Robinson
Those are all nice players that will help your team. None of them come close to Lillard or Simmons. That's the level of player you can hope to add picking in the 20's.
Nah. Philly was willing to do what it took from the contract perspective. He didn’t want to play with Ben or with Brett BrownI was gonna say…lol
But yes, however, didn’t philly not offer the max?

i did see someone thinks Miami could trade for him- Bam, Herro and firstsI agree. I just picked Miami because I can see Riles wanting to make an offer and like them as a WC.
not only that but you still owe 1st rounders too NEw Orleans- I am not even sure if the LAkers COULD trade first round picks-It wouldn't because the Lakers don't have the kind of 1st round picks that the Blazers would want and picks in the 20's ain't it.
plus the players that New York would have to give up to get DameI’m seeing that they have $25 million in cap space. That would be the range of a Lowry John Collins DeRozan Drummond based on who is available in FA. Not sure that Dame Randle plus one of above is better constructed than Dame McCollum Nurkic. But it is in the East. Maybe that would be appealing to him.
plus the players that New York would have to give up to get Dame
which they just dont have any kind of enticing package.
