I've been on vacation for almost two weeks and the Cavs go from the Finals to the basement.

I've got one thing to say to LeBron,

I am a Cavs fan with or without LeBron, I'm not going to stop watching.

As far as what the Cavs should do next?

I would like to keep Nance and Colin and see what you can build with them, while letting everyone else walk. It will be interesting to see how they do. I really don't expect much from this team, and they will never to attract elite players without drafting them or grossly overpaying them.

The worst thing about getting Lebron is that you get the gm LeBron too.

I generally agree but you have to think that Magic is one of the few people that can talk back to Lebron.

Yeah, I think that Lebron's input will be similar to what Kobe's was. The Lakers would run things by him when it came to personnel decisions. But he didn't have final say about anything.

Part of the Cavs problem was appeasing him too much, letting him have too much say in personnel.

As a Cavs fan, I didn't know LeBron could commit. Every offseason you were afraid you might lose him, we could of had Paul George and LeBron together for years, but LeBron didn't want to commit to the Cavs long term. Yet, days ago he has no problem committing to the Lakers.

Yes and no. During Lebron's 2nd stint with the Cavs, they were ALWAYS over the cap. And a tax payer. So they could either keep the guys they had or they would have need to burn a season trying to clear cap space. But when you have a 30+ year old Lebron, it is a tough pill to swallow.

So instead they wind having to resign guys like Smith and Korver because those are the only deals you can make.

In defense of the Cavs and Lebron, the Kyrie situation really screwed the Cavs hard. Losing your 2nd best player when you are in cap hell is a terrible situation.

This.

The real question is why would the Lakers want Love at $25 million for 1 year.

Yeah in this trade scenario I would say the Cavs take Deng, but I also think they get a 1st rounder for taking that contract. Seems unlikely but I saw the trade rumor on some stupid website lol

Well in his defense he only committed ohe more year to LA than Cleveland. LA was a 4 year contract with 3 years committed. Cleveland, when he went back was w 3 year contract and 2 years committed. He staysd for 4 years.

I get that Cavs fans want to blame Lebron for their woes, since he left, but things aren't that simple.

Maybe they could have traded for Paul George. But it would have cost A LOT.

After Kyrie demanded to be traded it was pretty much over, I knew it at least. I think the Cavs would had a shot this year and more more opportunities to build around that obviously. Now it was just him and Love with bad contracts. Other than Dan making some bad decisions; it could have been overcome if Kyrie stays. It’s ashame but everything happens for a reason

A deal was done, Paul George was going to sign a contract extension if LeBron told him he would of committed to staying, but LeBron told him he couldn't do that. LeBron had planned to leave Cleveland for a long time now.

First I've heard of this.
