Easy enough to resign Parkinson for cheap and/or rework Dissly contract. Offensive guards, maybe center, a pass covering middle LB and safeties will be a long enough wish list, doubt the draft will even fill those needs adequately. Oh yeah and a QB.
Did you have a figure in mind for Parkinson? Spotrac's Market Value is currently $6.6M. He's well behind Fant for snaps over the last 4 weeks but he's a little bit ahead of Dissly for #2 TE snaps.

No figure, but he should be inexpensive since he's been a rotational piece at TE. 6.6M seems a little rich given his resume.

Edit: Looking at TE salaries maybe 6.6M is the market, lots of TEs making that much or more, but lots making less also.

I want to say that I heard a stat a week ago or so that Seattle ran the same running play concepts a higher percentage of the time than any other team in the NFL. So, it isn't just the same play type called in those situations, it's literally the same play call. Hard to get the run game going when you always call a run to the 0 gap every time.
Yeah. Not great.

During the great years, the team did much the same thing, on both sides. But they had so much talent they could just out execute the other team.
That isn't the case anymore.

Yeah, Jones, Hutch and Tobeck on that left side was nasty... Shawn A could basically tell the defense what play they were going to run before the snap and he'd still be 5 yards downfield untouched w/ a gaping hole...

Yeah, me too. We still have a lot of work to do and the Oline is still a concern but we are already seeing a new life in this team that gives us hope. And with the talent we have on the defensive side of the ball thanks in part to trading Russ, we made some heady moves and good decisions and it looks good. To Pete's credit, some of the moves he was a part of have worked out well like the two ex Giants. We were smart enough to just let the bad moves go and we got some more speed on the defense. We have a good amount of talent on that side of the ball and I think our new coach is the real deal. This is the first year in about 4-5 that I have genuine optimism about the teams future. It's still tempered with caution because it's a work in progress but it's palpable.
