They're the winningest underdogs ever.Every season, we go through this. November, oh no, the Pats aren't as dominant. Brady has lost his edge, this is wrong, that isn't working, yada, yada. Then we look up in January, and the Pats are hosting a game after the bye and winning. I'll just wait and see and I could honestly not give a rats ass about "nextgen stats". When it comes to BB and January football, the stats are as worthless as used toilet paper.
Agreed. Those top defensive stats appear to have been padded by the weak opponents in the early season. It is not as easy to get those same results when they play better teams.
My guess is Buffalo and the Pats are tied at the top of the division at seasons end but the Pats will somehow win the division when the tie breaker rules are applied
yes. it started when they let demarius thomas walk for the "talents" of AB.
and brought in 4 TE's that have combined for 38 catches, for 349 yards and 1 TD.
That said, not taking a TE with 10 draft choices is a head scratcher.
yeah, those fragile hollister twins. one seems to be panning out fine. And while he's not Gronk, the one that got away to Seattle is doing very well there.
annnndddd they'll probably hoist another one of these in a couple of months

There is much truth in this. Maybe they banked on Gronk coming back, which was a big reach. That said, not taking a TE with 10 draft choices is a head scratcher.

Not sure about details, but it was dumb to not secure a decent TE. A position the Pats have relied on for Brady to produce. Now, they have garbage and an aging Watson .Weren't there 2 TEs from the same team NE was looking at. Once those two lead pipe cinches were gone they seemed to lose interest.
Fant and Hocksteader??
That is optimistic, thanks! But, Chiefs D has been steadily improving. Maybe not by 20, but having a hard time imagining the Pats O keeping up with Mahomes & Co. Unless the D steps up, big time.I'm not falling for this.
If they lose by 20 points to the Chiefs then I'll start this conversation but the Pats are exactly where they want to be right now.
The issue is that the Chiefs offense isn't clicking like it was last year. Chiefs are averaging 2.6 points per drive which is good for 2nd in the NFL this year but last year they were averaging 3.25 points per drive. That is optimistic, thanks! Based on what I've seen this year, the Chiefs are going to have a hard time scoring 20 points let alone winning by 20 points. If someone finds a blueprint against that Pats D, though,....thats win I'd start getting a little worried if I was a Pats fan.
Well he is quite old.
