Seeing the Chiefs playing well is not painful for me. I'm happy for Alex. Also, it validates the trade they made to us. Teams will be more willing to trade with us if it is proven that we give value back. Right now Smith is looking like he is worth every bit if not more than the second round draft pick the Chiefs gave us.

As far as we go, I believe we will play better. If we don't, we make changes. That's life.

I think offensively the 49ers went away from running, it may not be the case but in the first drive of the game today you guys had success running the ball then IDK what happened. Keapernick isn't a guy that can drop back and throw 30+ times a game.

Kap hasn't even played a full season yet but he's ripe to be ripped. The playoff wins and the win against GB were aberrations. The last 2 games are all that matters. Doesn't matter that the O-line has been pretty bad, no receivers, coaches going away from the running game, or the D not stepping up. Lay it on the guy with 13 career starts.

I remain confident that Harbough and Kap can fix it. But it won't matter if the D don't get its shit together.

I don't buy that easy answer for a second.

The Niners' offense is not the same without Crabtree & Vernon on offense, and Kaepernick has not handled success well. That isn't Mangini's fault.

I really think you guys need to watch the game again because I seen WRs open. Kap is locking on receivers and not making good pre-snap reads. Even if we had Calvin Johnson and AJ Green on the other side, we still need better coaching.
