I agree with this- but LEBron is never going to say--- "sign this guy and trade for this guy and i will definitely sign"--- he will put the onus on the team to make the deal without any guarantee

plus- as much as i like Cousins- and if the Cavs could somehow get him id be overjoyed--- dude has a torn achilees, probably the worst injury a basketball player could possibly get. Theres talk that porzingis might be out maybe the whole year next year with it--- and Cousins if he comes back will probably be rehabbing most of the year.

Agree, but IF he 100% has decided Lakers and he knows what contract he wants, then why not just sign and let it play out?

Him delaying, strongly implies to me that he’s waiting on something specific to happen.

Lakers have to be pretty nervous about LBJ's people meeting with the Sixers today. If the Lakers miss out on Bron, PG and Leonard after the hype train about maybe having all three....

The hype didn't come from the Lakers. They have the same plans in place no matter what happens. It's just a matter of which one they have to go with.

i still think its 90% LA though don t you? or do you think the Sixers can get in the mix? All of a sudden that looks like BY FAR the best basketball choice if you are judging on just pure need to win a title.

I think Lakers mostly because of the current odds.
Its insane to think you can get the field at +1500 if thats true unless its a done deal.

This is interesting.

Apparently he already had dinner with Magic and his agent has spoken to the Cavs. Now there's supposed to be a meeting with the Sixers that Woj just said that Lebron isn't likely to attend.

I have beem saying James to the Lakers for years.
I definitely congruatlate you on getting the guy. It should be a lot of fun to watch him over the next few years in LA- but you will find that LeBron does not make it easy sometimes. Everything is on his terms. He gets all the credit and is always spared all the blame. I am glad I got to see him for the vast majority of the prime of his career. You should get AT LEAST 2 prime years of LeBron- and probably 2 more really really good years where he is a top 10, top 20 player or so after that. Just when its done, like in Cleveland and Miami- dont expect for there to be much left. LeBron gets everything he can squeezed out of an organization.

if he isnt likely to attend its probably just saying-- thanks but no thanks---- id still say AT LEAST 90% lakers and 10% cavs.

1st thing Magic needs to tell James when he signs on the dotted line:

You ain't running shit here.

yah.....if LeBron goes there he must be confident they can make a Kawhi deal....thats what i would assume anyway.

That, or maybe he thinks they can get Boogie and add more pieces next off-season? :noidea:

That would be stupid, imo. Obviously, you don't turn the franchise over to him. But you certainly consult with him on moves.

adding Boogie is not going to be cheap- he is going to get a max from somewhere even if its not for 4 years....if Boogie signs a 2 year max and LeBron goes there--- and Boogie has complications....

if you sign Boogie and LeBron to maxes do you have the money next year to sign anyone? I would doubt it...right? no?
