Good, IMO James can go play for the Heat. I want the Lakers to mature with younger players. I don't want a player that has 3/4 more years left. JMHO.

His goal is to play with/against his son someday. His son is 13. That is like a minimum of 8 years from now.

I don't get the 3-4 years left comment. There is absolutely nothing in his play or his public comments that suggest that. He may not be the best player in the league 4 years from now, but he will still be really good.

I would think so- but LeBron already has insane mileage on hjim. I think he will be the best player in the world probably 2 more seasons.

He will be 34 in December. Once he hits 36 all the games, and the age really start to pile up.

On the other hand he is a freak of nature. He cant be compared to other players- his whole grading system is different.

If LeBron was the best player in the league at 36, or beat to shit neither would surprise me overly much. We are in uncharted waters with him. He shouldnt be doing what he is currently doing. The guy just played 82 games and had maybe his best season.

between regular season and playoff games LeBron has played 1,382 games. Jordan played 1,251 in his entire career. Kobe played 1,556

I proposed this is an extreme fallback option (if James were the only max FA to sign this summer) and only if James wanted somebody he was comfortable with.....

I'd rather that the fall back position be wait until next off-season.

I think he'd be fine in the system.....and help something we desperately need help with, 3-point shooting.

It's a motion type offense. I don't see Love as a motion type player.

He averaged 19ppg and 11rpg in the Finals. 20-plus points in 3 of the 4 games. Not too shabby.

Not too shabby, but they were also pretty empty stats. How much impact did he really have? Also, on defense, he tends to give back a lot of what he gets on offense.

Free Agency starts in a few hours.

LeBron is in LA and has informed the Cavs he's not even willing to meet with them in person.

George just flew back to OKC for a PARTY thrown by Westbrook.

You don't need a Crystal ball.

The one thing shocking in all of this is George thinking he could win with Russ in Oklahoma, but not with Lebron in Los Angeles. That'd devoid of all logical thinking.

Well, Durant is signing a 2-year deal in Golden State with a player option. Guess he's doing the Lebron thing.

Well to be fair, I guess the night is young, with a whole week of free agency. I'm iffy on CP3 though

Gonna be mighty interesting next year, with KD, AND Klay's contract coming up

lol

Seriously though...the Lakers have space for 2 max slots. Lebron has to know that if he signs, someone else will sign too. Either this year or next.

So, even if he signs first, he's still not really signing alone.

Beasley might be the sleeper 2nd max??

I think CP3 is going as well

Can't decide if I like that idea or not.

On the one hand, dude is still a great player.

On the other hand, he's also injury prone and his injuries seem to come at the worst possible time.

Then again, if the Lakers keep Lonzo and with Lebron there, he won't have to play nearly as many minutes.

I also can't think of a better guy for Lonzo to learn from.

Maybe this would be good if it was a short deal?

And right as I say that...Boogie's name is starting to surface as a possible target. If it's a 1 + 1 with a team option, I guess that wouldn't be bad
