No grapevine needed but I will ask. I think Cuban blowing up the championship team was a big red flag for a lot of players that want a ring. He also made it painfully obvious he was down with the new reduced spending under the new CBA before it had become palatable to the players. His personality probably turns other people off too.

Good points!! Makes sense!! Also, If memory serves, he came off as a bit hypocritical when the Lakers tried to get CP3!! He was one of the main one's (along with Dan Gilbert) that cried and bitched about it, then he tried to do the same damn thing!!

Cuban hates the Lakers and he has openly stated so for sometime now. He hates when they get the advantage because he is envious of all of those rings. The dude will just about do anything to screw the Lakers and this is just another episode. The little rich boy whined and whined and I would not be surprised if had a lot to do with swaying Stern's decision to screw us on the CP3 deal.

Too bad that he's like that!! Especially since, when he first bought the Mavs, Dr. Buss befriended him, kind of took him under his wing and taught him about being an NBA owner!!

I hope the Lakers do become much better when he retires, it would be pretty sweet to see the next Lakers regime win more than 5 championships.

Dwight Howard didn't prove shit, Dwight Howard is a well known cancer and drama queen. A lot of you guys spent the better part of 2 years bashing the guy but now all of a sudden his opinion carries weight? Lol.

Kobe's always near the top of all SG's in assists, but the haters have been spitting the same stuff since Kobe came into the league. Nothing new.

You should worry about the fact that everybody and their momma is avoiding Dallas.

Interpret the stats. Kobe is the primary ball handler 99% of the time compared to other SGs. Of course by sheer volume of touches, he will have more opportunities to assist more than any other SG.

Let's not lose picture of what Kobe is. Even Kobe admitted that his game is predicated on handling the ball and shooting it most of the time. Noone would want to Kobe the way he is now, with his attitude and his persistence to remain the alpha dog. Laker fans are still in denial. The Lakers are better off with Kobe in a limited and supportive role. It;s time the Lakers attract big name stars with Kobe not being the primary option both in ballhandling and in salary.
