They still matter, just not in the old 3 yards and a cloud of dust way. The guys that have the ability to catch, block and run effectively are some of the best weapons in the modern NFL. The slogan is not literal- I actually agree with this. It's as much a reaction to people trying to justify arguments like Barkley should be going with the 1st pick, or that 4.0nette was the reason for the Jags success.


EDIT: I would add the difference between RB A and B is dubious

I knew you knew that. Honestly, those backs like Fournette, Henry and others should really focus on pass blocking and catching in college more than they do running. Unfortunately for them, the college game for their teams is more about them being their 3 yards and a cloud of dust guy than teaching them to be successful in their profession. That's really sad that they go to school to be educated on how to make a successful career, and the colleges don't teach them what they need to know and be. That's all kinds of fucked...

Nowadays if you look at volume of posts by a teams posters.
Eagles win outright. Even though it is just a couple of posters. they are the most posts.
Thinking outside the box for delusional.
I could see Steeler fans.
but for an opposite reason of why most think.
Never seen a fan of a team knee jerk reaction to a loss like the steelers.
They want to get rid of good coaching or higher up because of a loss.
When 20+ teams wish they had what they had.
So even though complete opposites. It might be a pennsylvania thing.
