Once you have a drinking problem you always have a drinking problem. It never goes away. Yes he might not be drinking but he still has a problem he is dealing with.

Once you have a Redskins fandom problem, you always have a problem. It never goes away.

Sources say the SM ruse was to distract people from the QB controversy. :pound:

Whoever though SM was our savior has to be kidding. I hope he has not had a reoccurrence of his drinking problems. We can speculate but we do not know and I think the FO should not give that information to the public.

When Scot was hired he was widely considered by the league to be an personnel guru. He was also not employed due to his previous issues with alcohol. If I remember correctly he even said he has a beer from time to time. There is no way to not have thought this was a potential problem down the road.

The other thing is you can't expect Dan all the sudden had a revelation and wasn't going to have some say so on what happens. The Cousins issue alone and before that the Griffin saga all smacks of Snyder. I certainly understand folks skepticism, disappointment and/or anger.

It is the same old story over and over with a little different twist each time. Gibbs II, I was afraid of Joe picking the players. He was not good at during his first run. It was Beathard that largely built the team. Shanahan was supposed to be the man with the plan and he was going to make all the personnel as well as coaching decisions. How'd that work out? So no big surprises now if this went south.

Good Lord - this is starting to get beyond ridiculous. Looking at this objectively this is comical. SM spotted in the Ashburn area again & once again wearing all Redskins gear. Certainly looks like someone who wants to be noticed while sticking w/ his agreement to not talk to the media. As the article implies this may be a way for the Skins to ultimately force SM to resign. I certainly hope not - this is really, really low even for them if there is any truth to this. What-the-F-ever...

I think its fake news but that my opinion. These "beat" writers are doing more to hurt this team than anything else. I wish these idiots would look for other jobs. They are wrong more than they are right. Once again, other beat writers in the country are typically homers and typically painful to listen to. However, the DC writers are focusing on ruining the organization from a media perspective and make us a laughing stock in the NFL. We just gave our coach a 2 year extension however the DC media found a way to twist it into a negative.

I have never seen anything like this. Once again, where are the Browns, Jags and 49ers articles? Those teams are honestly run by blind circus monkeys but you don't hear a peep from the media about it. The Browns actually appear to be leaning toward drafting Trubisky yet they have no Oline to protect him and gave up 66 sacks last year. Could someone cook up a quick article on the boards about how "dysfunctional" the Browns are please? For heaven sakes they won 1 game last year! Your organization can't be in more "disaray" than that correct?

How does this post look today? LOL

Wait, so SM's dog didn't eat his mock draft?

Weezer, take it away.

[youtube]

i went to pick up my twitter ...

had to set it back down.

too hot to touch.

as of this moment

not sure if i feel more disappointed from

the shooting star that was bobby 3sticks ...

or

the general manager, scott mccloughan, who after a decade of piss poor personnel decisions was finally going to set this organization on the right path.

sounds like a good poll question, lol

The reason for this break up is really hard to figure. They are saying now it's been in the works for a while. Is it drinking? Is SM being fired as a result of poor FA signing and a "poor draft" that is way to recent to judge? Man if they are firing him for perceived poor performance I will have a very hard time staying with them.

Well if your last sentence is true then for starters they better extend Cousins for whatever amt is needed (even if it is the largest NFL contract ever). It will be brutal if they dump SM, get rid of Cousins and have a subpar record. There will likely then have a true fan revolt on their hands & whatever good PR Snyder obtained by being (or appearing to be) hands off over the last few years will be negated & then some. Expect empty seats & lesser revenues to follow unless they shock the world (doubtful if they have to play McCoy, some retread or rookie at QB).

I guess that they could make all of these changes & still be competitive, but I don't see it especially rt away, and I don't see most fans as being willing to sit through a few years of rebuilding given how this whole thing has been handled lately. Who the heck wants to watch a struggling, perhaps boring team knowing that it could go in any direction when it appeared previously that it was heading in the rt direction. If they use a high pick on a QB then there is great chance that this guy is out of the NFL in a few years since they never do well in that situation. We will see.

I am prefacing this by saying total speculation. But it is entirely possible that Danny and George's son do not like SM, he's not a yes man enough, look at his free agency and draft history of only 2 seasons and have decided he is out. How scary is that?

Turning to page 2 of Days of our Lives it is also possible that Kirk was so offended by the low offers from the team (Allen I assume) that he has no intentions of signing long term here. Ever.

So by sheer incompetence we could be out a top talent guy and a top 10-13 QB. And of course we all know what that means.

Just shoot me now.

What FA in their right mind would come to WASH with Cousins' tenure in flex, the GM likely gone, both WR's gone and currently one of the worst defenses in the NFL? So much uncertainty will keep FA away for sure. Just when the fan base thought the Skins were about to turn the corner with back to back winning seasons, we are presented with this scenario. The FO has not addressed the media or fan base on any news regarding pretty much anything and I cannot see how things will get better even if Cousins is kept around on the tag to play out his deal or if they move on from Cousins. If this all plays out as ugly as it seems, it is possible a fan revolt could take place and hit Danny boy directly in his pocket.

I think free agents will come, but the problem will be that the Skins will revert back to picking and overpaying the wrong ones. The main goal of most free agents is still going to be to get paid - and the Skins will always be willing to pay.

According to Forbes The Washington Redskins were considered the NFL's 5th most valuable team in 2016
despite missing the playoffs. I think Dan and Bruce are about winning off the field. Business is booming, fans still think its 88' and every two year, right when the new fanbase wants to quit, the team loses in the 1st round of the playoffs.

This is what you've signed up for guys, the media obviously HATES this team and any success it has, as we are constantly projected to finish at the bottom every year. Tomorrow around 4pm should be exciting
