He can say what he wants but even Magic won't sign that check. It's just posturing. He might as well say $400M over 12 years. No one is going to do it but he's hoping to be buying a place up on Mulholland with the $200M the Dodgers give him.

Terrible contracts aren't that uncommon, he probably just wants to be on the list of other players that received way more than they should've. And, it only takes one GM to sign him for a boatload of money. That being said, he's not going to get what he's looking for and he probably even knows that.

Just learned that the mother of Cano's illegitimate child is suing him for child support.

One more thing that makes me NOT want to see him ina Red Sox uniform. I strongly doubt
Dustin Pedroia will ever be sued for anything like that.

The Best thing for the yankees to do is not bid against themselves 8yr 150-200mil seems around the right ball park. Unless someone comes through the door with a better offer then just stand by yours. what is cano gonna do? sit out the 2014 season?
