You’re pretty dumb yourself.

No, having a shitty field messes up timing between receivers and QBs throughout the year. Having a shitty field creates more variables on the receivers route that slows them down. It makes where to place passes unpredictable. Then when they go to a quality field, the receivers are quicker and the QB has trouble throwing in front of the receivers. It’s a bigger issue than anyone makes it out to be.

Oline and Coaching has a big issue with having a quality qb as well. Our problem is not only drafting, but developing. Look at Jay Cutler. His best year was the year before coming to chicago. When he got here, he never came within 700 yards of his third season in Denver. That’s because of our coaching and Oline. Had we drafted Mahomes, we would have screwed up his career as well.

You don't tank to win the superbowl. You tank for a better draft pick which leads to a better team in the hopes of winning the SB. There is no guarantee in the NFL of the winning the SB, go talk to the Chiefs about that.

You are putting the SB as the bar and that bar cannot be guaranteed by either of our strategies. So it's pointless to make that the bar. The bar should be, how do we position this team to be successful and it starts with the draft. Great teams are built through the draft.
