Vote and more importantly discuss (some of you fail to do this, LOL).
let um have their fun.I think the discussion is sorta already happening in here: RACE TO THE PLAYOFFS
I think Colts have the best shot but even then its probably only like 25% chance.I know they're not in the poll, but the Colts at 6-7 might have a shot at it. They would need to catch one of these 3 teams. I'll do my usual exercise and see who plays who...
Colts - bye, @Broncos, Titans, @Giants, Jaguars
Broncos - Browns, bye, Colts, @Chargers, @Bengals, Chiefs
Chargers - @Chiefs, Buccaneers, Broncos, @Patriots, @Raiders
Ravens - bye, @Giants, Steelers, @Texans, Browns
Looking at the upcoming schedules of the above 3 teams the Broncos and Chargers do not have easy schedules from here on out. The game tonight means a whole lot to the Broncos, and I'd say that if they lose tonight they won't make the playoffs unless they beat the Colts on the 15th. The Chargers have 3 games against the upper half of the standings and can't really afford to stumble. I don't see the Ravens not winning at least 2 of their last games and getting to 10 wins minimum.
Since we're here, lets look at the 5-7 club.
Dolphins - Jets, @Texans, 49ers, @Browns, @Jets
Dallas - Bengals, @Panthers, Buccaneers, @Eagles, Washington
49ers - Bears, Rams, @Dolphins, Lions, @Cardinals
The Dolphins might have a shot at it, but the teams above would have to stumble badly. As an added bonus, if they really "can't win in the cold" then the games at the Browns and Jets are daunting. Could they go 4-1 to get to 9-8 and squeak in? I could see it, but they can't play like they did Thursday night.
The NFC is a different beast all together. I don't see the Vikings or Packers totally crapping their pants to end the season, so that leaves Washington as the team to catch for Dallas. I'll post Washington's schedule below. I don't see the 49ers getting anywhere. Not one of their final 5 are an easy game, none of the teams they play are bad teams and right now, they're not good. I guess higher draft picks is the prize for being the most injured stars team in the league.
Washington - bye, @Saints, Eagles, Falcons, @Cowboys
Maybe Dallas does have a shot, but they'd pretty much have to go 4-1 and have Washington go 1-3 and Dallas would need to win the rematch.
I think Colts have the best shot but even then its probably only like 25% chance.
I think there is it all depends on how it goes for Denver tonight. If Denver wins the Colts pretty much have to win their game against them to have a shot. If Denver loses they have a really good shot even if they lose to Denver in two weeks.I think Colts have the best shot but even then it’s probably only like 25% chance.
In general, even 25% sounds too high for the Colts with how Bo Nix, Lamar Jackson and Justin Herbert are playing relative to Anthony RichardsonI think there is it all depends on how it goes for Denver tonight. If Denver wins the Colts pretty much have to win their game against them to have a shot. If Denver loses they have a really good shot even if they lose to Denver in two weeks.
I saw that AFTER I posted this....I think the discussion is sorta already happening in here: RACE TO THE PLAYOFFS
The absolute best I can see for them is 9-8. The Texans in Houston will be a loss IMO.The Fins are a longshot IMO - their remaining schedule is easy and Tua is playing very well. If they win out and finish at 10-7 they could get in, it’s a longshot but not out of the realm of possibility IMO.
The Texans aren’t playing well at all right now, I could see the Fins upsetting them. It’s unlikely they win out, but I’m just saying it’s a possibility. The absolute best I can see for them is 9-8. The Texans in Houston will be a loss IMO.
And at Browns will not be easy since Winston has the Browns offense playing better.
That's awful news... Heart goes out to TW and his family...I voted for the Niners out of blind loyalty but just saw the news today and this team can’t catch a break. CMC out for the year, Jordan Mason now out too.
Trent Williams just lost his twins at birth only weeks after Ward lost a child. This has been a year from hell on and off the field.
