Playing center against the Rockets whose tallest player is like 6’7” is a lot different than playing center against Jokic and Plumlee.

Even then, the Lakers tried to play Houston with their big lineup. It didn’t work. So they pivoted to using AD as their “center”.

I think it did work,. The Lakers won that series

I watched that game. None of the Nuggets played normal minutes. It was treated like a preseason game as the starters played limited minutes and didnt play a second in the 4th.

The regular season numbers is irrelevant because it was so long ago and also a game in the bubble that the Nuggets treated like a preseason game as they were locked in as the 3 seed is just as irrelevant.

No one was just assuming anything. We were discussing this game and talking about what has worked in the past as something they are likely to try now.

This is gonna be fun. Lakers obviously the best team in bb this year but, i always love the underdog and the nuggets are fun to watch. Lakers in 6, hoping the nuggets pull off the upset tho.

He can obviously score at a high rate and score efficiently.

But, IMO the nuggets are at their best when Joker is distributing and getting easy shots for everybody else.

Hold the others down, make Joker try to get 40 and I don’t think the Nuggets can win 4 games playing that way.

Yep. He's a great passer and the rest of the team feeds off of that. Especially when he gets doubled.

The Lakers should be able to defend him one on one most of the time. So that should help limit his passing and hopefully have him looking to score.

Uh, I don't think he claimed that it didn't work. He just pointed out that playing center against a guy who's 6'7" is a lot different than against a legit 7 footer like Jokic.

AD doesn't want to play center because he doesn't want to have to bang with guys like Jokic. Fortunately, that's what Dwight and Javale are for.
