How can he cheat if the balls are approved after the refs let air out?

There is a legal limit of air allowed in a ball. Rogers likes the pressure level at the upper limit so has extra put in so when the refs let the air out it is near the upper level allowed,

Brady on the other hand has them originally filled to the lower limit so when the refs check the balls they do not have to let any out. Then after the refs check the level Brady has his buddies let out another pound or 2.

See there is a difference there as one is legal and the other is not.

See like talking to a 5-year old. You try to speak in as simple of language as possible and explain things logically and well the response you get is "I know you are but what am I?"

I would say it wouldn't be as big of a deal if they hadn't lied about it, showed there was a bribe paid to keep one of them quiet, and if this was just the first offense of the Patriots. There are plenty of organizations that don't have the black marks that this one does over the last 15 years. First time offense maybe they get the benefit of the doubt that they just made a mistake. The 3rd or 4th time of huge black marks on the organization though show a pattern where the organization just doesn't care. Until there is a punishment handed down that actually hurts them what is going to stop them from going right back to doing what they have always done in trying to figure out how they can get around the rules.

You mean like the Broncos did when they skirted the salary cap to win titles? That kind of "getting around the rules"?

It's not about what we do know in regards the Patriots and their deceitful tactics, it's about what we don't know. Once you are labeled a cheater as a result of being caught on more than one occasion, you will always be considered a cheater. The court of public opinion will always assume the cheating is much deeper than what you have actually been proven guilty of.

Publuc opinion doesnt chnge his yellow jacket.

Everyone finds this out sooner or later with Rocko.

Football's can be reinflated. Fyi.

You show me where the Packers have been caught reinflating the footballs then I will agree with you. Rodgers at this point has never had people reinflate footballs that the NFL has found evidence of after they have been officially approved. You are trying to say they are on equal footing by accusing Rodgers of something you have no proof of. So pretty much you are committing slander against a person who has nothing illegal they have done just to deflect from somebody who actually has been caught being a part of a behavior to break the rules.

Assuming another team had the same history as the patriots, it would be a huge story regardless.

Oh sheesh I have said the Broncos broke the rules and they paid for it. Rocko here and others seem to have some trouble even admitting that the Patriots have done something wrong without having to make sure that everybody else knows others have cheated in the past too.

That's what I mean...He is right this isn't as big of a story if it isn't the Patriots because this has been a pattern of behavior. If the Cardinals had done it yeah it wouldn't be that big of a deal and honestly I wouldn't expect the punishment to be more than a slap on the wrist as first time offenders I'm ok with letting them off with a warning or at least those that have shown for years they have been on the right path. During the last 15 years though the Patriots seem to break the rules and don't care one bit and just find a new one to break.

You are saying punish Rodgers as much as Brady when at this time there is no evidence against Rodgers actually breaking the rules. Brady there is evidence he broke the rules knowingly. Two very different situations. If it comes out that Rodgers is caught reinflating footballs after they have been inspected by the officials then yes lay the hammer on him.

I think they Spygate stuff was legit and they were up to something against the rules. But this one has always seemed like a lot of nonsense to me. So many QB's came out and said they liked the ball a certain way, and that this was commonplace.

I see. Saying it to a reporter isnt admittedly cheating. Ok.

.......I just hope they go easy on tommy-boy,.......is there a "Camp-Cupcake" for qb's out there.......like where Martha Stewart did her time....?,...*sniffl*.

Nah. I don't think he's going to get away scott free on this one. You do the crime, you pay the fine.

I just don't see it as a major crime against the sport of football. Or an example of an organization run amok.

If ESPN and the networks were all around earlier on, all these teams would have been subjected to the same scrutiny as the Patriots are now and I'm sure their fans would have not been near as noble as they claim to be now.

They said they like to have the balls a certain way and will spend months for some of them getting them ready. Not a single other quarterback though said they have the ball boy take the balls after they have been approved and have the air either pumped into them (like Rocko likes to believe Rodgers does) or air taken out. Big difference in those two. And yes maybe it is a stupid rule and they should look into changing it but it is still a rule that all 32 teams are asked to abide by and so far only one has been found to just flat out not care that they have broken it. If it does come out that others have done the same thing then yes they should be punished for such action as the rules are there for a reason to give a level playing field for all teams.
