Because teams don't need to run on them - holds down the rushing yardage.Pass defense sucks, but the run defense is tops in the league and a big part of that is having a big guy in the middle to open up everyone else.

Still, it is a principle of life - that water runs downhill and opposing teams go where the yardage is easier to gain.If Yardage was the only indicator I could probably agree. They are also 1st in yards per carry given up at 3.3, 1st in longest run allowed at only 21 yards this season, and are 1st in success rate against by RB's. So the run defense is for real.
Lamar Jackson not at practice today.
Yup... I was coming on here to ask if anyone else was going to be making the trek.I’m hearing a RUMOR…
One of our board members will be attending this game. Wonder if we will get a first-hand report after the game??
Saw that as well. My guess is he plays though.
Oh yeah the Ravens defense is pretty bad. They are going to have to win shoot outs most of the year.
Locke is out. Doubt Turner-Yell will be activated this week but at least he should be back soon and is a great special teams player. I worry about Devon Key in coverage but he didn't play too bad last week.
I see very little chance Jackson doesn't play given the history of how Baltimore has used rest for him. He has back and knee soreness. (not an illness this time) instead of your usual recovery day he is apparently getting 2. There is always the chance the Ravens are hiding something but appears he will be in uniform to face us.
I'm with you that I expect him to be a full go. The one area that Baltimore could be in trouble though is the DL. They don't have a ton of injuries compared to our last 2 opponents but most of their injuries are to one position group. Pierce to IR, Travis Jones missed a 2nd straight day, Brent Urban 2 missed days with concussion, Broderick Washington went from limited yesterday to DNP today. Means they only had 1 DL that is on their 53-man roster practice today in Madubuike.
Broncos it looks like Locke is probably missing a 2nd week. McGlinchey back in a limited role. Michael Burton limited as well with a foot injury. DTY though was a full go today so good sign for him especially with Locke hurt.
