Doesn't mean they didn’t play well. They gave up 1 sack to Miami and 2 to Vegas. Those aren’t the same numbers we would’ve seen last year.

I remember the 800 number "Sports Line" back in the 1980s .. Being a Bronco fan in NJ, this was sometimes the only way to get up-to-the-minute details on the games ..

The updates on TV had the Broncos down 0-19 vs the Colts in a Dec game in 1983 .. So I started calling this 800 number for updates .. I will never forget standing in the kitchen in disbelief when the game ended 21-19 Broncos ...

I relived that feeling today with the Broncos comeback ...

I don;t care what the Bears' record is, I don;t care that we're probably not winning the SB - this win today was why I watch, and hopefully, why all Bronco fans watch

The D played a soft zone - the entire game (like prevent defense only for 60 minutes). Not to be outdone - the front seven played soft run defense. Drew Sanders managed to look, and play bewildered the entire game - where he had a bunch of snaps.

The Broncos offense showed up in the second half, which is new so that is good. Wilson is a good QB and I think we can see that in the offense after 4 weeks so there are positives. The D though man, it is just confounding how this unit can be as bad as it is. The can't stop speed or power. WR, RB, TE all dominate this defense. They take nothing away from the opposing offense. They finally made some plays at the end so maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel for this unit?

I think I understand Vance's scheme.

Between the goalline and where the opposing team gets the ball (let's say on their own 25), there are 74 yards of "space". Nothing bad happens until they cross the goal line, so I think his plan is to get them there as quickly as he can so he can stop using zone schemes and just play man on them and eliminate the fancy routes and all the odd blocking techniques.

I like it. Kinda like he's pinning them in a box with nowhere to go.
