I will say that Taylor's biggest asset is his ability to rush the passer. Technically he's listed as an OLB, but he's essentially a 4-3 DE who shouldn't be in coverage.
Yah, I didn't want to admit to myself but you basically said it right there. Taylor should NOT be in a 3-4 or HYBRID defense.. He's Cliff Avril 2.0.... Carroll is not a DL coach nor is any of the DCs he's employed recently so I get why this has not been a thing... but it's easy to see. He's a HUGE liability in run defense, but switching to a 3-4 without that and employing him with his skillset is not going to help. Just turn him loose in a 4-3 where run coverage is covered by 75% of the line.
