If the Steelers don't get a run game going today they are dead in the water. Without it Belichick will double AB & JuJu and force Ben to beat them with Switzer, Rogers & McDonald/James.

Prepare for a dink & dunk type of game if that's the case.

...And Gil put on IR.

Pretty big blow to the O-line. Feiler has been decent though. Hope he holds up.
very true, but he hasnt been active. But eli i am hopeful for. I dunno about you guys, but im a huge fan. I feel like he can, if healthy, add a new dimension to the O.

Certainly can create separation better than Switzer can. Fingers crossed that he doesn't come out extremely rusty today. They are going to need him in a bad way against the Pats.

yep, snow used to be in our favor, but not with "i cant find the hole " samuels and ridley.
Couldn't find the holes because there weren't any. The Goons sucked ass against Oakland.

to

to an extant, but i never though samuels was a good rusher
He's just getting his feet wet. If he can learn to play with more confidence he'll be good. Right now he doesn't use his size to his advantage. Too timid IMO. When there aren't any holes he needs to turn into a bruiser.

Samuels is a vanilla 1-cut runner. His tape showed decent vision in college, but he doesn't have good burst. He'll need a lot of work to become a good RB at this level.

No tread on those tires, just blind faith. IMO one of the most determining factors of a player's success in the NFL is their confidence level. I know there are limitations and other factors, but I think the stars in this league all have 1 thing in common. Confidence and the desire to be great.

My biggest fear is they start out slow today and Brady puts them in a hole early. We know how that script plays out. Ben plays hero ball while the coaches come up with zero answers.

Hero ball.....also known as pick 6 ball
Yep. Wonder how many times we'll see those throws into double/triple coverage today. Or the dreaded, "what the hell was he thinking" type of throws (pretty sure I saw one of those last week where the Oakland defender luckily dropped the ball in the EZ).
