Was Joe Burrow Holding Back In The First Half Of The CFB National Championship?

#1 LSU Tigers and #3 Clemson Tigers have just competed in the 2020 College Football National Championship Game. LSU was falling to Clemson in the first half, but LSU later got ahead of Clemson in the second half. I was starting to wonder if Joe Burrow was holding back against Trevor Lawrence. Were the Tigers (Louisiana State) not putting in enough effort as they should have been against the Tigers (Clemson)? It's just unsure why LSU won against Clemson at the end of the second half.

Early field position was garbage made play calling a little different than later.

also it was second quarter not second half when LSU started to put it on.

Clemson was showing formations/stunts they hadn’t showed all year. That coupled with field position made it difficult to get rolling. Venables came out with a solid game plan early, but you can’t double cover 6 players on every play.
