I like your beard.
Also, I think the Pens have the best goalie duo in the NHL now, no?
sshhhhhhh

Not while Luongo and Schneider are still a tandem...

I've never been big on Fleury, so I'd have to disagree.
I would take STL's combo in a heartbeat.
buffalo's tandem has gotta get some mention too i think.. nashville aint bad either.. kings, pretty solid (supposedly, bernier hasn't seen much ice time)
James Mirtle @mirtle
Vokoun was not going back to Washington and had permission to speak with other teams. Several were interested at more than one year.
apparently not
Only the two teams still playing are restricted from making moves, filo (that's the way I understand things)
Enroth struggled big time this season. Better than our backups have been for a few years, but I wouldn't give them consideration.
With you for sure on the Jonathans though. Quick was so good that Bernier wasn't needed much, but still a heck of a tandem.
wasn't aware he struggled this season.. just knew he's a pretty solid prospect
lol sorry filo
I dont think they are restricted Dash I think they just can't and won't announce anything. why would they even think it while playing for the Cup.
Lou: Oh man we better trade Parise before his contract comes up....
Deboer: Er I need him right now Lou
Lou: Make do...
I don't think the teams still in it can make trades, but they could sign their RFAs/UFAs.
I know it makes sense but isn't that an unfair advantage that they can't get in on players for the next year?
Yeah, but if they're in the SCF, they obviously don't need as much help.
They have to block it because otherwise you'd see NJ or LA offering a small fortune for Suter or Lidstrom or any number of other top name guys that are out of the POs at this point.
I think if they wanted to allow the teams still in it to make trades for next year, they'd have to specifically address it in the CBA that if the guy is on a team that doesn't make the POs or gets eliminated, he can't play then in the current season again regardless of who he gets traded to.
What does this say about the Pens confidence in MAF, btw. That is a decent bit of cash and two years for a team without much cap wiggle room. (these are not my comments, my friend the Pens fan who writes for Free Tank Carter).
