How bad of a fan are you when it's fourth and goal and you're screaming "take the field goal" because you don't think the offense can gain a couple of inches?
I'm sure it does hurt the players to an extent when Zimmer says he wants fighters, as I am sure that when they are on the field, they are giving their all. With that being said, if Rhodes or any other players intentionally deviated from the game plan, they deserved to be fined and suspended for the remainder of the year. With the injuries that this team has had this season, we are very lucky to even be in contention for 8-8. I can't blame injuries on Zimmer.Wow... That's embarrassing for them as a team, especially for Zimmer as Head Coach. If Rhodes (or any other player for that matter) just decided to deliberately not follow the coaching staff's plans for upwards of half the game, why did it take until halftime for Zimmer to get the game plan changed back to the way he wanted it? Why wouldn't he just bench Rhodes after it was obvious what was going on unless he got his act together, then have upper team management fine him for purposely refusing to do his job afterwards?
This just makes no sense to me, it's like Zimmer has totally lost the respect of this team. Zimmer needs to quit talking to the media about "wanting fighters" and all that bs and simply do his job as HC and put his foot down when players are getting out of line. The way a lot of players have been acting as the season has progressed painfully reminds me of Mike Tice era Vikings coaching, not keeping the players in check.
ain't feeling it, Vikes end 7-9.
Bradford is an average and injury prone QB. The Vikings gave away too many draft picks.
