Sucks to see the end result. They had a chance to win it.

Continue to struggle because of the OL and poor coaching. Couldn't run the ball yesterday and that made their offense too predictable. Cannot expect a rookie QB to throw almost 50 times and win....no turnovers by him though.
The problem is that Swift cannot run between the tackles and you cannot just leave him in the game when you are running sweeps and put Ro in to run between the tackles. Pretty simple fix for this, use Swift on third down like he was used previously on other teams.

We watched Jones again out blocking a linebacker getting to the second level ahead of swift and even DJ yesterday. I think the whole deal with Shelton and Caleb identifying the blitzes for passing plays just has not gotten to the level of changing a run play from left side to right side. Thats when they work, not just changing the play from a run to a pass because they can block it up better.

You really have to consider how much pressure theViqueens put on the bears yesterday with Flores and give the o line alot of credit for holding up as long as they did. The sack that killed our drive in OT was not on the line when Caleb is standing back there for 5-6 seconds. He had plenty of time to throw the ball away. The biggest part of why they held up was that Pace was out of the game and he is their Parsons, and Flores played prevent when they were only rushing 3 and had 8 in coverage. Somehow Williams got the ball thru some of those windows.

This is actually even more of an indictment of Eberflus IMO. Oh your rookie QB waved you off huh? Oh well in that case... :rolleyes2:

Fer fuck's sake, he is the head coach and he's being ordered around by the the rookie QB? They shouldn't have gone for it, plain and simple. They did not NEED to go for it. It was barely into the 3rd quarter?

Letting your QB wave you off at a pivotal point in the game is not exactly a ringing endorsement for Flus.
Olin made a good point on the missed fourth down play call this morning. It was not that they ran the kicker out and then back off the field, it was because Caleb did not get the play call until 25 seconds were left on the clock and Fluke said he ended up running the wrong play.

What Olins take was that if Fluke cant make these decisions, then he needs to delegate the call to someone in the booth with analytics. If that happened already, then the special teams coach was the problem not holding santos back.

It all comes back to communication, ultimately the responsibility of the head coach. I still say you let Washington call the defense and Fluke has the time to pay attention to these details.

The biggest part of why they held up was that Pace was out of the game and he is their Parsons,

Ivan Pace has 5.5 career sacks. And he's like the 5th or 6th best player on his defense.

Micah Parsons has 45.5 career sacks. And he's the best player on the Cowboys roster.

If Pace is anyones Parsons....they bought him on Temu.

I apologize for not being clearer on my statement. He is the guy that, like Parsons, you do not know if he is coming or not, where he will be lining up, or where he will be distrupting the blocking scheme of the offensive line. I guess I hear quarterbacks and centers calling out Zero alot when playing the Vikings. Pretty sure that does not mean nobody is coming.

They are saying zero coverage. Cover 0.

Brian Flores calls zero coverage more than any DC in the NFL.

The zero coverage blitz.
