Ugly Trade Offers

Hey gang
i do not know how all of you feel,I do know that it drives me crazy to receive trade offers that i feel are embarrassing

this one in my keeper money league.....PPR

i was asked to give up Gio+Cordarrelle---and receive Ball+Blue

ok now Gio / Ball depends what side of the fence you are on can certainly be the basis of a deal

but do you have to throw Cord for Blue into the mix

His QB is Romo though, and I've got Newton stashed. He's going to have to make some kind of move so I think I might try to offer him Newton for a RB or WR1.

i oftenn offer slightly less deals or crap deals on purpose

its a fishing tactic jsut to see whose interested, looking for counteroffers and feedback before coming big.........just a heads up.

yeah i mean its a feeling out process for me, i always am throwing stuff out there, sometimes it sticks, sometimes its nothing, but its how i just landed brees for torrey smith, russell wilson, and mark ingram....all bench players for me in a 12 team league.......oh and 6 points per passing td.....

Yes but sometimes those initial shit deals will turn an owner completely off from trading with you.

There's a guy in one of my leagues that I refuse to trade with bc of this exact scenario. Gotta be careful with sending out complete shit on your first attempt.

I'm with you on fishing, but make it reasonable. The AP/Asiata for Lynch thing is going a wee bit overboard to say the least.

Barilko I can relate and certainly understand the frustration of a horrible deal offer. However I myself don't mind if a guy wants to shoot me a lopsided trade offer because for me it opens up talks for negotiating a fairer deal. But I know that a lot of people don't like bad offers.

Agreed. . Being offered Shit deals tells me your not serious, and I'm instantly in a bad mood when dealing with you, now you have to buy my guys as I'm not interested in a fair deal with that particular person any longer

Just wondering, what if it is with a guy who you know over-rates a certain player of his and Knows that he believes that it is a fair trade, even if it obviously isn't...

I would imagine almost everyone overrates their own players to a certain extent. It's human nature.

I guess if I know that guy, I'll probably laugh it off. But, there's still the "this guy's an idiot when it comes to FF", in the back of my mind that will probably always be there
