one thing if for sure Puck... at least we have a different option at seasons end if Schneider shits the bed in his first playoff start (I mean series not game)

yup. I still stand by my rant of weeks ago.
this season it's chicago and pittsburgh, and the rest of us.
little chance anything at the deadline would have changed that from our perspective.

not sure why we got Roy then, would rather draft and keep a prospect.

Im ok with not getting him. we as a team are targeted by the league for questionable penalties. adding Torres just increases that. I dont see it being a huge positive for us.

Paterson said today the talk of the dressing room this morning was canucks players hoping torres would be re-acquired by the team

Two now, and Brass Monkey with one and two assists.

By extension, this means that Blake Comeau will score a hatty tomorrow, right? Although dash's head might asplode.

And have no fear Sharks fans - Torres will pick up the hands of stone and skates of molasses mantle and run with it. Clowe will not be missed.

Two interesting things said in the NBC broadcast:
1) Glen Sather is good friends with Scott Howson. Might explain why the return for Nash was so comparatively light. And it probably also means that he spoke with Howson before making today's deal. Which explains a lot. "Dorsett's a solid player. Lots of heart. And Brassard is a top notch center. Should be a #1."

Thanks Scott.

2) When asked to waive his NTC, Gaborik called Nash to ask about Columbus. Nash told him he had some of the best times of his life there and it's a great place to play.

Thanks, Rick.

I hope he does well for you, I didn't like how Torts treated him and I think he needed this. If the Blue Jackets weren't joining the Atlantic next year they'd probably become my second favorite team.

Rangers got two quality guys and one meat head. The problem was both of the good ones were redundant on this team. I hope Brass and Johnny do well, and they are off to a good start.

And I think everyone on the planet kinda knows that Tortorella was/is Gaborik's problem this season. He played well for Richards before and is good friends with Prospal and Anisimov. I'm hoping for good things.

The rare "both sides got what they needed" trade.

Let's hope so. I just have this bad feeling all these former Rangers are going to kill us in the years to come.

I'll give you Dubinski back if you give Nash back. :D

I'll even throw Erixon in.

Just got home from work about 45 minutes ago, turned on the TV to watch Wild/Sharks and heard about Minny getting Pominville. Really surprised as I thought Fletcher was going to stand pat, but whatever.

Don't really know anything about Larson, but I've personally never been much impressed by Hackett.

... But he's young, so maybe he'll yet rise to the challenge of being a NHL caliber Goalie..
