It's gotta be.(Sparky might not have his # retired in Cincy, idk) Guessing on players, Frank Robinson, Harold Baines, Nolan Ryan, Babe Ruth (did he have a RS#?), Gary Carter, Andre Dawson, Rod Carew, and maybe a Niekro?

Justin Morneau is correct, he won the MVP in 2006 and made his first All-Star team in 2007.

Frank Thomas is close but incorrect, he made his first All-Star team the same year he won the MVP in 1993. Ken Caminiti made his first All-Star Game in 1994 and went again in 1996 before winning the 1996 MVP
