It's a pretty good question I think, both are recognizable names and both are guys that you'll say "I should have guessed that!" when you hear them. That's my general definition of good trivia... an obscure question with a recognizable answer.

Well in that case I am sure I'll be kicking myself for not knowing this answer

Name players can you list that played in at least two different professional sports and list both sports? (hint: there are way more than you think)

Here's one I came up with the other day while poking around stat pages... Name the two pitchers in MLB history with 500+ IP that allowed more walks than hits. One is still active, so he could turn it around still.

Anyone have any guesses for this one? Want a hint?

This sounds like it is only possible for a relief pitcher... so now i am thinking about successful(500+ innings) relief pitchers... How about mariano rivera??

i knew my mariano rivera was a wrong guess... just couldnt think of a reliever that would have 500+ innings... did not realize marmol had 500+ innings in his career forgot that he was once considered good...

I assume you mean at the major league level, so not including guys like John Elway (who played minor league baseball for the Yankees and Royals) or Brandon Weeden (played minor league baseball for the Yankees and Dodgers).

The obvious ones that come to mind are:

Deion Sanders: MLB and NFL
Bo Jackson: MLB and NFL
Jim Thorpe: MLB and NFL (not to mention competing in the Olympics)

Others include:
Brian Jordan: MLB and NFL
Danny Ainge: NBA and MLB (Blue Jays)
Drew Henson: NFL and MLB

I'm sure the other is also a reliever so I'll say J.C. Romero, Mitch Williams, and Armando Benitez? All of them had high BB%

Marmol is one of them. I think I want the other one to be Nolan Ryan. That would be awesome. Don't think so though.

I have one, can you name the 4 players who have hit a HR in four different decades AND the 5 pitchers who have earned a win in four different decades?

Nah I'm almost positive it's a reliever. While Ryan was wild and didn't give up a lot of hits, I'm sure he still had well over 1000 more hits than walks.

I'm guessing Jaimie Moyer and Cy Young both won games in four decades. An Griffey with home runs.
