Henry Chiti Who can ever forget that name
Nice! Didn't think many people would come up with this....
Would you like a daily trivia thread?
I have always enjoyed the Trivia side of the game.
Here's one I came up with the other day while poking around stat pages... Name the two pitchers in MLB history with 500+ IP that allowed more walks than hits. One is still active, so he could turn it around still.
This also happened to Clint "Scrap Iron" Courtney I believe
Dice-K?
Yep, I remembered right it looks like
Clint Courtney Statistics and History - Baseball-Reference.com
January 24, 1961: Traded by the Baltimore Orioles with Jim Archer, Bob Boyd, Wayne Causey and Al Pilarcik to the Kansas City Athletics for Whitey Herzog and Russ Snyder. Clint Courtney returned to original team on April 14, 1961.
I kind of think there may be a couple of others too, I remembered Courtney because Whitey Herzog mentioned him having been traded for himself as a PTBNL in one of his autobiographies.
No sir, he's got way more hits allowed than walks.
Woops, read the question wrong.... Though He has to have some record about loading the bases and not allowing a run lol
Sweet!!
Ok: How about this one, "Name the player (and how far he threw it) who threw the longest ball?"
Was it Bo Jackson? I remember some video of him chucking the ball a mile....
