Wonder how many of the failing papers are ones whose websites refuse to let you read anything unless you subscribe?

The local paper here does that and I haven't read anything from them in a year.

They completely overestimated now many people actually give a fuck about their estimeed columnists’ opinions.

The only shot they had was to band together as larger groups and sell combined subscriptions at low rates. They all wanted to keep their own show going and now they’ll all suffer. Oh well.

It’s good to see that smaller metros are growing at a faster clip. Hopefully that trend continues and takes some of the pressure off of Toronto going forward.

Also, Victoria police report that there were four cases of assault in front of the legislature building, so patience is wearing thin.

glad you asked. hereditary chiefs are those that lost the voting process for leadership, so tried to dismiss the results with the logic of "my great great great grandpappy was the grand poohbah, therefore it my hereditary right no matter what the election says"
