I bite my thumb in your general direction, then childishly sing, Na na boo boo! You can have Pead to go with Darryl though :)

Treff, I was right behind ya...what the hell, he's worth a shot.

So is 32 year-old Willis McGahee worth grabbing?

Rotoworld: After the Browns traded Trent Richardson away to the Colts for a 2014 first-round pick Wednesday evening, they need someone to carry the ball for them the rest of the season. Chris Ogbonnaya and Bobby Rainey are the only other running backs on Cleveland's roster. McGahee worked out for the Giants last week, but he hasn't received much interest since being cut by the Broncos in June. We fully expect him to sign on with the Browns once he passes the physical.
ESPN: The Browns are bringing McGahee in for a physical, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. If he passes the physical, he will be signed by the team, according to the report. Spin: In the wake of the out-of-nowhere trade of Trent Richardson on Wednesday, the Browns now have just two backs on their roster: Bobby Rainey and fullback Chris Ogbonnaya. For those scrambling to benefit from this deal, McGahee looks like a player to target.

I can't see him doing much if Richardson couldn't get the running game going; think this is just a simple tank job by the Browns who figure if we lost our QB, lets trade our RB and battle the Jags for the #1 pick next year

Atta Kid, Chef! Hey, when my options at RB2 are J. Bell, Bernard Pierce, and Ben Tate.. why not? It'll be nice to have a gut that isn't dependent on an injury to get some significant snaps!

Hahah.. he isn't a 1st overall pick. No offense.

Although it hurts to say. .He'll be lucky to get drafted period if he can't drastically improve. And if he does, please God don't let it be the Browns!

Well, as a Richardson owner I'm not overly pleased for this week (even if he plays it's against a pissed off SF team at home) - but over the long haul this should be a good thing. Browns really weren't using him anyway.

It's still McGahee....and he's on the Browns. If TRich couldn't do much this year, I doubt he will. But have at him guys. ;)

Nobody mentions the repercussions for me and Bradshaw? :L

just lost my window to trade him for something useful... (had a guy in my money league thinking hard about Roddy White)

My offer of Edelman is officially off the table...lol

Ummm...is Cleveland trying to punt away the season for Bridgewater? I'm not even sure if McGahee is worth adding.

While you're probably right. Let's consider some other "starting" RB so far this season....

Mendenhall - 20 points
Morris - 19
SJax & Murray - 17
CJ1C, Mathews, & DRich - 16
DWill & Spiller - 15
Gore & TRich - 14
Rice - 13
Miller - 12
MJD & Ridley - 6

It may be easy to dismiss McGahee. Yet in one week, James Starks (who was a blip on the depth chart) leapfrogged over ALL of these guys. And the top RB is only at 40 points in standard formats. Stranger things have happened in fantasy.

Hmmm.... regardless, the Browns need another warm body at RB, so they have to sign somebody, either a practice squad guy or a guy like McGahee or both.

Myself, I kinda like Ogbannaya. I think he has a better chance than McGahee to emerge as somebody you might start, although I don't think the chances for either of them are very good. He wasn't bad at all when the Browns had to give him 10+ carries; I think there's some promise there.

I wouldn't be so quick to give that benefit of the doubt..
2011 is the only time in Oggy's career he's had more than 10 carries in a game, a four game stretch where, lest we not forget, both Hillis and Hardesty were injured or he'd have never gotten those carries..

@ SF 11 carries, 37 yds
@ HOUST 13 carries, 28 yds
V StL. 19 carries, 90yds
v JAX 21carries, 115 yds, 1 TD

The Jacksonville game was decent enough even though most of the yards (40), and the TD, came on one busted play, but StL was the second worst defense vs. the run that year.
Whoever they sign, is going to be better than this guy.

Even without that 40-yard scamper he has a career 4.0 ypc. I'm not saying he'll light the world on fire, but if he's tough enough to be used as a fullback and is a decent receiver on top of that, he could do all right.

Mind you, I didn't add him in the MBBRL - but I did in one league with a deep bench where I'm thin at RB and had room for both him and McGahee. Hope one or the other establishes himself.

Richardson owners... Me being one of them just got a little happier.

I feel like I just polished up a tarnished toy- and he is ready to go again!
David_son you got that right. Indy should force feed TRich to help stop the pressure on Luck. I see a big jump in production.

While I will agree that there is some limited potential there. .I think we're forgetting about Rainey, I'm sure he'll get a chance to show himself in at leat this one week as well.

Well, there's no QB to protect so that should simplify things for the rookie.

Maybe they want to erase all things Holmgren.

I think once Gordon comes back that they should have a couple more red zone possessions per game.
We will see. I had a spot on my team that I was willing to part with for a shot at a potential 15-20 touch per game RB. Also, I only took the shot at him in 2 of 4 leagues, so Im not fully in on him either. I also think that there is no way that McGahee doesn't take the lead role after a week or two of practicing. Ogbayonnanana sucks, imo.
