It depends on what Cheveldayoff wants for Kane. Would he want established talent or prospects or picks. The Jets are playing pretty well right now. I think something similar to what Ottawa gave up to get Bobby Ryan would be something Kevin would consider.

That's a great comparable there.

Habs giving up way too much in that trade scenario - Patches for Kane is pretty much a see-saw, not a chance the Habs should have to add much more to the deal.

I would not want to trade Max for Kane straight up. Not saying it would be a bad deal, and I do think Kane is a bit better, but not that much better.
