I get they are in a tight spot. Lebron probably only has one more year left. So they want to push all their chips in. But moving Westbrook for parts doesn't get them closer to a title.
The moral of the story is that GMing should be done by GMs.

Double stuff?
The cookie to cream ratio is askew with those. Yuk. Regular Oreos are perfection. You don’t mess with perfection.

RW reminds me of Melo 4-5 years ago. He's a guy who thinks he's some all world talent and needs to be treated as such. When he came to the Lakers he needed to retool his game and he hasn't done it. It took Melo some time to figure it out and I think this is going to take RW some time as well. The only difference is Melo had more to his game to change up. RW is just an athletic guard and now that he's lost a step, he's fucked.

RW is what Iverson was at the end, still a good player....but not elite anymore.

See, he kinda does though. I understand why he took the chance but he did turn down easy titles for a shot at his own team. This is what is meant by risk.

I just love him and will always love him. I know he was only here for 3 years, but Durant is a forever Warrior in my mind.

It isn’t like he is unwilling.

His skill set is just a disastrous fit.

And like you said, he isn’t as explosive as he once was, so terrible fit + diminishing athleticism with a game built on athleticism is just a really bad combination.

If he wants to extend his career he should go the Jason Kidd route and work on his outside shot.

Once Kidd lost his athleticism he became 40% 3pt shooter.

Kidd’s improvement happened gradually over 15 years.

Too late for Russ, IMO.
