an unprotected 2027 does move the needle. Because lebron will be over 40 and Brow in his mid 30s.

Maybe the Lakers should move it then. I would project the Lakers reloading with another star after Lebron leaves to play with Bronny and that pick still being well out of the lottery. Hell, they could be on to the next after AD too, who's contract is up after 2024/25. That would be a pretty confident move though, being so far off.

A contending team shoukd be looking hard at trying to get Kenrich Williams while the Thunder are in sell mode. He could really help a good team. The Thunder watch his minutes because it seeems like when he plays a lot they are a lot more likely to win. He is a very solid player ready to contribute.

I get they are in a tight spot. Lebron probably only has one more year left. So they want to push all their chips in. But moving Westbrook for parts doesn't get them closer to a title.
