From the ESPN story, so maybe they just had 2 2nd round picks instead of 2 1st round picks.

Shabazz Muhammad is the perfect player to help improve a poor Wizards bench.

Also, the Wizards could benefit from Jazz's Derrick Favors and could be an effective player off the bench and add much-needed depth to the Wizards frontcourt.

nice deal for both teams...

Lakers get worse- get closer to keeping their pick, and get a late first rounder.....pretty much ideal if you ask me.

Maybe they will finally have some competence in the front office now.

From what I have read, Magic took the reins on this one. If I were to guess, I'd say that talks, that Magic would at least have been in loop on, likely began before the firings and then Magic completed the deal afterwards.
