I love it when a hitter punishes a pitcher for throwing a get ahead fastball with the first pitch. DeShields triple was on a first pitch fastball as well.

A very valid point. What he did on offense last year overrides his rookie defensive play.

I just think DeShields arm is a better fit in LF. He has been a dynamic lead off guy and I have no desire for that to change. Funny with Stubbs not getting a spot, it really makes you think that Desmond has a higher ceiling even this year in CF than DDJ on the FO mind. Plus Josh is on hold until at least mid May. Brinson is surely not on the immediate fast track. He has yet to be even rostered. Maybe September if a few things happen

I honestly think Desmond might be our full time CF and DeShields moves to LF. Hamilton may get some at bats in a platoon in LF with Delino.

Good problems to have trying to fit Ham in. If our SP plays up to speed then Rosenthol may be right minus who takes the WS. Hope is alive to begin the season but we do look pretty good on paper. Yes, Desmond is definite being steered to CF
